Inglis, MB | December 13, 2025 – Winter has officially arrived at Asessippi Ski Resort. Despite a stretch of cold temperatures across the region, the resort proudly opened for the 2025-26 season on Saturday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m., welcoming skiers and snowboarders back to the hill for another season of winter fun.
Following weeks of snowmaking, grooming, and safety preparation, Asessippi began the season with the Squirrel Chair in operation, providing access to its accompanying runs. Teams from across the resort, including outdoor operations, snowmaking, ski patrol, guest services, and food services, worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure a safe and successful opening weekend.
Additional terrain is already in progress. Weather and conditions permitting, Asessippi anticipates opening more second chair terrain and the tubing park by next weekend.
Seasonal events are also underway, beginning with the annual Get Amped Competition on Saturday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m. in Robin’s Run Terrain Park. The event invites riders and spectators alike to kick off the season with high energy, and exciting terrain park action. With the holiday season approaching, guests can also look forward to extended hours and Asessippi’s popular New Year’s Eve celebrations later this month.
Guests will also notice a few new seasonal additions this winter, including a new ice cream machine and “The Slush Cup”, a layered slush and ice cream treat, alongside locally sourced Nerbas Bros Beef and familiar Asessippi food court and pub favourites.
