Asessippi Vine Chapel
The Vine Chapel is our signature ceremony space, and the heart of Asessippi Weddings. Guests wind down a quiet path through the trees to a vine-wrapped timber frame overlooking the valley. It’s the kind of view that stops conversation the moment people see it, and it’s where most Asessippi love stories begin.

All-Season Wedding Packages and Options
Every wedding package includes ceremony essentials: altar, seating, signing table, reserved seating signs, parking, backup indoor location, décor setup, and ceremony coordination. Our coordinators help you design a smooth, stress-free timeline and ensure your bridal party is confident and ready for the big moment.
Winter Weddings
A winter wedding at Asessippi is like stepping into a storybook. Snow- covered hills and frosted trees frame your photos, and the crisp air makes every moment feel fresh and exciting. Guests can sip hot chocolate or mulled wine, warm up by an outdoor firepit, and enjoy the beauty of the valley in its quiet, sparkling season.
Whether you choose a fireside reception in Sugar Shacks or a snow- kissed ceremony in the Vine Chapel, winter here is pure romance.

“If you’re thinking about booking this venue – do it! The venue is stunning and being able to have the ceremony and reception all in the same place is super convenient for you and your guests! The property, tent, and ceremony site are all naturally beautiful so they require little additional decorating. Access to the bridal cottage was really great too as the hair/makeup people could get you ready right at the venue. Our wedding was on a chilly day, but with the sides closed the tent was warm enough. They also put on heaters for later in the evening. The fire pits and corn hole were guest favorites too! Every aspect of this venue was well thought out, we had lots of compliments from our guests. Janice is also super helpful and always reachable for any questions or concerns you may have.”
Frequently asked questions
Where can we stay?
There is a link to all the accommodations in the area on our website. You can arrange a room block at the full-service hotel “The Russell Inn” – there are also several cabins on site that are exclusively for weddings (you can book those with our wedding planner)
How long do we have the reception space?
Your reception space is yours for the day. Last call is 12:45am and all guests must be departed by 1am.
If there a Shuttle service?
Included in your wedding package is your “Safe Ride Home”. During dinner, your guests are asked to sign up for their ride to their accommodations. They begin at 11pm and go until all guests have been dropped off. Guests are required to make their own arrangements to pick up the vehicles.
Can we bring in our own caterer?
Asessippi is the exclusive caterer on site. You are welcome to bring in your own desserts or cake if you wish.
Do we need to apply for a liquor license?
Asessippi has the license for all liquor services. All bar set up and service is included in your pricing. You simply pay for each drink.
Do we have to use your rentals or decorations?
You are welcome to bring in any décor or rentals you like. We do have a good stock on site – which makes it easier than having to transport everything. Included in your package are full length table linens (white, ivory, black) and white napkins.
Are we required to use your wedding vendors?
We do have a list of wedding vendors who work on site regularly. However, you are welcome to bring in any service suppliers you like
Do we have to do rehearsal?
Yes. The focus of rehearsal is to set everyone at ease, and to ensure we have the timing down correctly for your music, with your entrance and exit. As well as meeting your bridal party, and to ensure everyone is fully aware of important details of the day.
Do you have officiants?
We do have a few officiants who work with us often – you are welcome to bring in any you like. In Manitoba you are welcome to use someone close to you to be your officiant – they simply apply to vital statistics for a one-day permit.
Where do we get a marriage license?
Your coordinator will do up your marriage license for you. You sign your marriage license with her, and then at the ceremony as well. Cost $110
How do we book?
In order to confirm your date – you complete our Asessippi Wedding contract and an initial deposit of $750. 90 days prior, we require a 75% deposit. Then 30 days prior, all confirmed numbers, final details. Full payment of invoice is required the week of wedding.
Are there certain ceremony times we have to use?
We will work with you to create a timeline that works best for your priorities. Ceremony, reception and photos are all considered when creating your timeline.
Outdoor weddings – what if it rains?
We have you covered – we always have a back up plan in place. We ask for you to make a decision regarding the rain the morning of your wedding. What are you comfortable with?
Do we have to use a DJ?
This comes down to your priorities. Do you want a full dance floor full of guests and family? Or are you looking for a more relaxed evening? We do have a sound system you can rent if you wish to use a playlist.
What if we want to invite additional guests to dance and not dinner and ceremony.
There is an additional charge for dance guests only.
